It is our responsibility as dog owners, to learn how to communicate with our canine friends. It is to our benefit to try to understand the language of our dogs. The better we understand what they are trying to tell us, the better owners we will become. But most importantly, the more enhanced our lives will become with our new and improved relationship with our canine companions. A combination of positive reinforcement training, routine vet care, a balanced diet, and LOTS of LOVE and ATTENTION will help your best friend live a happy, well-adjusted life.
How It Works-Private Dog Training Lessons
I will first do a consultation with you, and your dog(s) to get a detailed history on your relationship with your dog(s). We will discuss your goals for your dog and how to obtain them in a humane and effective fashion. I will talk about the basics on how dogs learn, and introduce the training methods we will be using, positive reinforcement. After the initial consultation I will go home and work on a customized training program for you and your dog(s).
I recommend meeting weekly for private dog training lessons where I will coach you on how to handle your dog(s), through explanation, demonstration, and instruction. You will be provided handouts, and suggested readings. Weekly lessons can continue until you feel that you have a good working knowledge on how to handle and deal with your dog's specific behaviors you are working on.
